Catherine Etheridge: In praise of United Auto Workers

I will always have admiration for the United Auto Workers. They have always been committed and strong supporters of civil rights. This is just one example: In 1965, UAW members accompanied Martin Luther King Jr. on his march from Selma to Montgomery crossing the Edmund Pettus Bridge. An earlier example: In 1963, the UAW provided funds to pay MLK’s bail when he was in the Birmingham jail.

The United Auto Workers have done much for others and I believe they deserve our support now.
