Six in line to win seats at Pelham town election, 10 positions to be filled by write-in candidates

PELHAM — Six residents who are on the town election ballot appear poised to win seats for various elective offices at town election Tuesday, with the remaining 10 positions to be filled by write-in candidates.

Town election is being held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ramsdell Room at the Pelham Library, 2 South Valley Road.

On the ballot are incumbent Margaret Stancer of Country Lane and newcomer Rachel Figurasmith of North Valley Road for two, two-year School Committee positions; incumbent Robert Rowell of Daniel Shays Highway for a three-year Board of Assessors position; incumbent Scott L. Barton of Harkness Road for a three-year position on the Cemetery Commission; incumbent David Hawkins of Buffam Road for a three-year position as tree warden; and incumbent Cydnie Reiman of Country Lane for a three-year term on the Community Preservation Committee.

Positions to be filled by write-in candidates include a three-year position on the Select Board, a three-year position on the School Committee, a one-year term as moderator, a five-year term on Planning Board, three-year and one-year positions on the Board of Health, two, three-year positions as library trustees and one, two-year position as library trustee, and a one-year term as auditor.
